This role will be a critical position, partnering with the Director of Sales as we prepare to create magic at sea in Southeast Asia.  You will be a crucial part of establishing the contracting and onboarding of our sales partners to drive engagement in the Southeast region.  The travel partner engagement will ensure the successful introduction and sustainment of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship Disney Adventure to sail from Singapore beginning in 2025.  

GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION 

Sales will play a prominent role in the expansion. The Manager, Sales Planning & Development will partner with the sales leaders to formulate high level sales strategy, develop tactical plan for sales products and promotion strategy, plus render support to the fulfillment logistics, communications, measurement, evaluation of different sales products.

  • Strategy formulation: With the high portion of the business coming from the 3rd party/travel trade, Disney Adventure operate in a complex travel trade landscape while having to drive business from different markets and types of partners. Collaborate with Sales leaders to translate market analysis into a strong distribution strategy.
  • Sales analysis & Product Development: Drive the formulation of product strategies and tactics by strategic analysis of sales trend, actual data, market intelligence.  Provide sales reporting performance hand in hand with revenue management at a market and partner level, which leads to identification of business gap or new opportunities.
  • Sales fulfillment support: Work hand in hand with legal, revenue management and technology teams to provide seamless onboarding to key partners.   This role will be responsible for the Sales contracting for all markets possessing strong business acumen and partner collaboration navigating the Disney Cruise line systems to effectively on-board partners.  This role is crucial for establishing and maintaining successful partnership within the travel industry.  Effective contract development ensures that both the Company and its partners operate on clear terms and can adapt to changing market conditions.  

You should be an energetic, proactive, self-starter with experience working within a large-scale travel industry business. Candidates must work exceptionally well in teams and possess the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES 


Performing the role with excellence includes being results oriented having strong strategic vision, proven relationship and influencing skills, strong attention to detail, strong business acumen, learning agility and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to navigate a complex launch on an accelerated timeline. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Leading onboarding and maintaining of key travel trade partners this critical role to activate sales strategy to achieve and exceed solid business results. 
  • Partner with Director of Sales and Sales Leads to understand the prioritization of key accounts and understanding of contribution to the business success.
  • Partner extensively with legal to establish contracting, understand commission structures to solidify partner terms and ensure that contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements across each market.
  • Partner with Revenue management for sales product development, support the formulation of fulfilment / logistics plan for products distributed through third party channels
  • Ensure thorough understanding of partner interface capabilities such as platforms and technology to ensure the strongest approach to establish sales with least friction. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service to travel trade partners, addressing inquiries and concerns related to contracts promptly and professionally.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a leadership travel industry sales analysis role. 
  • Previous work experience in travel operation with exceptional knowledge of all facets of the industry
  • Keen understanding of the region. 
  • Significant experience in managing contracting with sales partners in a fast-paced environment reliant upon successful collaboration and integration of key stakeholders.
  • Skilled balance between relationship engagement, legal compliance, technical and servicing to have a big picture view of client support. 
  • Experience in establishing sales distribution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus superior professionalism 
  • Advanced presentation skills and proven track record of influencing executive audiences.
  • Skilled at understanding performance metrics to assess & optimize programs. 
  • Travel Industry experience required 
  • Ability to travel internationally. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 

PREFERRED EDUCATION 

  • MBA or strong business experience and background
