The Disney Store Manager

About the Role & Team:

Support the development of business and assortment strategies for the assigned account, including supporting franchise and product-line direction for both external partners and internal cross-functional teams. These strategies will aim to align with and meet the financial goals of the business.

Provide ongoing support to the partner through weekly trade reviews and quarterly planning to drive sales performance and identify growth opportunities.

Collaborate closely with integrated retail teams and cross-functional partners, including The Disney Store (TDS) teams, Licensing, Franchise, Product Development (PD), and Retail Marketing, to ensure alignment and successful execution of plans

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and Maintain Strategies: Create and update departmental strategies by leveraging financial, consumer, and product trend insights to align with divisional goals and the overall retail vision.
  • Analyze Trends: Track retail and consumer trends to inform account strategies, discover innovative opportunities, and support growth.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Use inventory data to identify opportunities and enhance performance.
  • Drive Account Initiatives: Collaborate with partner to achieve financial goals, offering guidance on merchandising, marketing, and product management.
  • Collaborate on Product Assortments: Work with internal teams to present quarterly assortments to account buyers, ensuring alignment with market demand and retail objectives.
  • P&L Management: Oversee the full P&L for assigned accounts, partnering with finance to drive profitability and performance.
  • Finance Reviews: Present quarterly finance forecasts to senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Inventory Management: Support partner in managing inventory planning, purchasing, and merchandising to optimize stock levels and minimize overstock risks.
  • Marketing Coordination: Partner with marketing teams to manage account-specific campaigns and secure necessary approvals.
  • Ecommerce Management: Oversee product photography, copy, and content for assigned accounts on retailer websites.
  • Gap Analysis: Conduct gap analysis to uncover business opportunities and guide assortment and planning decisions

Required Qualifications & Skills: 

• 5–7 years of experience in account or product management roles in mid-to-large organizations
• 2+ years leading teams or cross-functional initiatives
• Experience in omnichannel retail (online/offline); background in branded entertainment or consumer products a plus
• Bilingual fluency in English and Korean, with strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic thinker with strong execution ability and commercial acumen
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective at managing multiple priorities in fast-paced, matrixed environments
• Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Results-driven, proactive, and a collaborative team player
• Passionate about the Disney brand and building strong internal/external relationships
