The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-To-Consumer is a global business segment with the mission of providing consumers around the world access to the content they want most, on the latest platforms, at a time of rapidly evolving consumer habits. Disney+ is the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, ESPN, National Geographic, and more.

We are seeking a Manager, Analytics to join our Engagement & Retention Analytics team in APAC. The primary focus of this role is to analyze user data, derive valuable insights, and collaborate with various departments to develop strategies that enhance user experiences and keep users engaged with the platform over the long term.

This role is based in Melbourne and responsible for all APAC markets.

Areas of Responsibility

1. Mentorship, Collaboration, & Team Development

  • Support cross-functional collaboration to align analytics with business goals & shape the analytics roadmap with a data-driven strategic lens
  • Mentor junior analysts and foster a high-performing, learning-oriented team culture

2. Engagement and Retention Analytics

  • Uncover behavioral insights through cohort analysis and A/B testing
  • Identify high-impact segments to inform lifecycle and retention strategies
  • Track churn signals and optimize for customer lifetime value
  • Recommend targeted actions to drive engagement and reduce loss

3. Strategy & Optimization

  • Support campaign planning and translate business needs into testable hypotheses, A/B experiments, and actionable insights
  • Evaluate campaign and product performance to inform go-forward strategies
  • Present insights that influence cross-functional decision-making

4. Operational Excellence & Data Governance

  • Lead recurring performance reporting, ensuring clarity, consistency, and actionability
  • Uphold data integrity, governance standards, and drive automation for scalable processes

Ideal experience:

  • 7-10 years relevant experience in an analytical role within a digital business, ideally media related.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Marketing, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Social Science; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • Familiarity with lifecycle & retention analytics, including user segmentation, churn modeling, and engagement strategies, is a strong plus
  • Expertise in SQL with demonstrated hands-on experience.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) with a strong track record of translating data into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of subscription services and the competitive landscape.
  • Deep understanding of the media and content industry, including trends and audience behaviors, is preferred.
