Team Description:
The Information Security Office (ISO) works directly with business areas to provide information security services, manage overall risk posture, and proactively empower business areas to secure TWDC systems and data.
What You’ll Do:
We are hiring a Senior Manager – Technical Program Management to join our Team!
Reporting to the Director of Information Security, you will oversee the execution of both near-term project targets and long-term strategic goals. This role is integral to ensuring the security objectives of the organization are met, working closely with GIS leadership, technology, and business leaders across The Walt Disney Company (TWDC). Your contributions will help maintain Disney's position as a leading-edge entertainment company, enabling the greatest storytellers in the world to create lasting memories for millions of families globally.
Responsibilities
Support driving security improvements throughout TWDC using the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
Ensure that the Global Information Security (GIS) portfolio operates with clarity, consistency, and strategic alignment.
Provide leadership to integrate work across GIS pillars, maintain strong portfolio governance, and deliver security initiatives that directly support TWDC’s enterprise‑level risk reduction and business priorities.
Establish and continuously refine PM practices, frameworks, and tooling standards to drive consistency and quality across the GIS program management function.
Define and manage a structured intake and demand management process (in alignment with GIS Risk Management team) to evaluate, prioritize, and onboard new initiatives into the GIS portfolio.
Provide executive‑level reporting and communications, translating complex technology initiatives and cybersecurity risks into clear, business‑focused insights.
Lead large, complex, multi‑threaded (10+ workstreams) Cybersecurity and Data Privacy projects, ensuring delivery of strategic outcomes aligned with enterprise objectives.
Proactively identify and manage program risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies to protect outcomes and timelines.
Develop, manage, and oversee program budgets and resources to deliver results in a cost‑efficient and accountable manner
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in program management, including portfolio management.
Proficiency in managing complex, multidisciplinary projects.
Strong understanding of security principles, technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities.
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the entertainment/media/consumer products industry.
Certified Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT).
Experience with data protection and cybersecurity governance.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
#DISNEYTECH
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $188,400 - $252,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
