Disney's Labor Transformation Analysts apply technical skills, statistics and analytics to forecast and plan Walt Disney World labor in changing business conditions. Types of analyses include forecasting, allocation, benchmarking, what-if scenarios, impact identification & quantification, and algorithm & process design. Labor Transformation Analysts must produce technical analyses and tools that are simple to understand, stable to run functionally, and successfully adopted.

If selected, you will be part of the Workforce Management team where scope spans all of Walt Disney World, across properties and lines of businesses and deliverables include multi-year plans. Partners include Labor Systems, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Workload Management, Casting, and Operations Leadership. A successful Analyst in Workforce Management must have high capacity for productivity, passion and curiosity to understand the "why" behind performance, and ability to create and support a story based on quantitative findings. In this capacity, you will currently report to the Manager of Labor Systems & Integration.

Responsabilidades:

  • Model and analyze labor-related data using multiple mathematical, statistical and simulation techniques
  • Coordinate communication and collaboration to align assumptions across stakeholders
  • Outline and explain analysis approach and methodology
  • Use results of analysis to present findings to leadership, lay out appropriate options and make recommendations for decisions that may require change in process
  • Proactively identify methodology updates and manage revision projects
  • Work with a variety of partners to implement new methodologies
  • Research and develop algorithms and models to manage labor and measure effectiveness of forecasting and planning
  • Support teammates by sharing expertise and collaborating on analytics approach, design, and calculations
  • Contribute to create test plans, and conduct testing for new labor systems

Qualificações básicas:

  • 3 years of work experience in optimization modeling, linear regression, forecasting methods, forecast accuracy, data management, automation or python programming
  • Proficiency using Python, VBA or similar
  • Experience building forecasting methodology and tools
  • Competency to translate results into clear, story-based interpretations to share with non-technical and technical audiences
  • Skills to identify opportunities for improvement and validate assumptions with appropriate experts
  • Creativity to find solutions in new ways and anticipate business impacts
  • Experience in or understanding of labor management, business performance monitoring, executive presentations, stakeholder analysis and change management
  • Capability to share communication across teams to ensure everyone understand updates, priorities and appropriate course of escalation
  • Ease incorporating and promoting change
  • Aptness to work with partners from different levels and teams to coordinate efforts
  • Advance skill prioritizing and managing projects and deadlines amidst constant change

Qualificações desejadas:

  • Minimum 3 years' Parks and Resorts experience
  • Experience with Workforce Management concepts, challenges and processes
  • Project management certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Simulation, or related field
