Disney Direct to Consumer (DTC) includes premium streaming services with Hulu, a premium streaming service that offers premium originals, current season TV, a massive library of hit series and movies, and live television and Disney+ is the Disney-branded streaming service featuring an incomparable collection of content from its brands and franchises recognized and respected all over the world including Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, Disney, and NatGeo. Our DTC team is looking for hardworking team-players to join the Viewer Experience team, who will thrive upon the legacy of Disney, and Hulu, embrace unconventional thinking, and who are passionate about contributing to The Walt Disney Company’s direct-to-consumer (DTC) experience through strategic hard work and determination. 

Job Summary: 

The DTC Viewer Experience (DTC-VX) team is seeking a Lead Program Manager to drive the execution of complex initiatives and work closely with key stakeholders to improve the support experience for customers and agents across multiple brands and geographies. You will be responsible for the program management of our direct-to-consumer initiatives, as well as ongoing business strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses an ability to work independently while navigating through ambiguity and complexity, is a strong leader with a proven record of discernment and stakeholder communication and operates at all levels by being hands-on and staying close to the details. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead technical and non-technical strategic initiatives and tactical programs requiring complex cross-functional collaboration, working directly with our leadership team and others across the business to ensure adequate resourcing, role clarity, and appropriate reporting/visibility to meet desired business outcomes 
  • Create comprehensive program plans to ensure stakeholder alignment, track progress, adjust timelines as necessary, make informed decisions, and identify and resolve issues to achieve overall success 
  • Act as a liaison between multiple internal and external stakeholders in various locations globally – ensuring consistent communication between all lines of business to gain project and program success 
  • Identify, assess and mitigate risks, provide critical issue management, anticipate and make trade-offs stabilizing the business needs versus constraints 
  • Understand and articulate how initiatives contribute to overall strategic priorities while supporting communications and change management across the business 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness
  • Mentor & help lead other programs managers through sharing best practices & helping to collaborate on process improvements  

What to Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field 
  • 5+ years of experience driving complex cross-functional programs from ideation through launch, involving coordination among internal and external stakeholders globally 
  • Demonstrated experience in a lead role, well organized, able to coordinate multiple workstreams, effectively manage your time, and be a strong leader who can adapt rapidly to new developments and changing priorities 
  • Strong executive presence and maturity to confidently represent program status, risks, and issues to executive-level stakeholders.  
  • Proven experience leading large-scale business and technology transformation initiatives 
  • Aptitude for technology and program management lifecycle processes while understanding how products are developed and the ability to work with product managers to distill complex systems and processes into simple written and verbal communications  
  • Experience with Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) products, Software as a Service (SaaS), and Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) 
  • Software/technology company experience (e.g., Salesforce, NICE CXone) 
  • Detail-oriented and able to understand the bigger picture by using your analytical and technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to identify and manage blocking issues 
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills, with proficiency in Google Suite, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Jira, Airtable, Teams, and Confluence 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with guidance in only the most complex situations 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MBA or equivalent  
  • Experience in dealing with legal entities & information security teams
  • Technical proficiency demonstrated technical writing background (e.g., requirements, use cases), or similar expertise 
  • Professional Program Management certifications  
  • Scrum Master Certification

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $113,800.00 to $152,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
