Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is a highly complex and regulated business. DVC continues to experience material growth and added complexity within the product structure and policies & procedures. 

The Regulatory Affairs Manager will lead a team of Regulatory Affairs Analysts executing critical timeshare projects such as registrations, document filings, and licensing for real estate and consumer lending for Disney Vacation Club (DVC).  In addition to executing appropriate regulatory action, they will integrate key programs for DVC & Business Affairs that are deemed a high significance for our Members and strategic plan.

You will possess strong project management and root cause analysis skills to problem-solve and collaborate with peers and internal clients to overcome obstacles.  You will prioritize projects and ensure internal deadlines are met to bring programs and initiatives to market.

This person will report to the Manager, Regulatory Affairs and sits in Celebration, FL.

You Will:

  • Lead team of salaried regulatory analysts for timeshare real estate processes and other high priority DVC projects, including new or updated legislation, product development, and additional portfolio initiatives.

  • Integrate critical plans for DVC/Business Affairs and maintain connectedness to the DVC/Disney Signature Experiences (DSE) organization.

  • Cultivate positive relationships and work closely with Disney Vacation Club executives in Legal, Sales, Finance, Public Affairs, Public Relations, Operations, and other partners (internal and external) to execute plans for regulatory affairs projects.

  • Partner with government officials, outside counsel, consultants, as necessary, in a professional manner, regarding all aspects of real estate, lending, & regulatory compliance.

  • Advise stakeholders and team of the risk and requirements per project in order to best determine the right approach and recommend sound business decisions.

  • Other duties as needed

You Will Have / Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in a leadership capacity overseeing direct reports, cross-functional teams and managing projects while promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • 4+ years in business affairs, legal, compliance, quality improvement, sales support, contract administration or similar experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams), Smartsheet, and more with the ability to quickly adapt to and utilize new software or tools.

  • Ability to handle a significant volume of intricate tasks, with a strategic ability to prioritize for successful outcomes.

  • Possess strong strategic and critical thinking skills, including the ability to collaborate with legal partners to design and implement changes to the business. Strong oversight and attention to detail skills in the legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs field.

  • Excellent verbal skills to communicate clearly, effectively, and seamlessly with external individuals, Members, and key customers. Proven written communicator demonstrating clarity, conciseness, and the ability to convey key messages for diverse audiences.

  • A professional presence and a demonstrated ability to present a cohesive, influential story and/or recommendation to a variety of teams and partners. Ability to influence and persuade at all levels across the organization.

  • Proficient in challenging conventional norms and building meaningful relationships.

  • Demonstrated curiosity and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience being a working manager, executing while being hands on and leading people.

  • Familiarity in ARELLO Timeshare Registry, document management systems and DocuSign.

  • Proven knowledge of timeshare regulations (including a multi-state environment).

  • Strong oversight and attention to detail skills in the legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs field.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Education:

  • Master's Degree
