Searchlight Pictures has an opening with our Physical Production / Post Production / VFX team. This person will interact with several departments (Finance, Legal, Creative, Marketing, Emerging Technology, Animal Sciences, etc.) to gain a broad understanding of Feature Film Production from the Studio perspective.

This internship is a full-time commitment in the Burbank, CA area from May/June 2025 - August/September 2025.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist Production Executives and Coordinators on Searchlight films in various stages of Development, Prep, Production, and Post-Production

  • Cover Executive desks, as needed

  • Read available scripts

  • Attend and help set up internal studio meetings.

  • Work on various Research and Development projects including crafting set lists, script comparisons, pulling images, acquiring location packages from films commissions, etc.

  • Maintain digital files and assets on department server and online database

  • Archive physical show files and assets

  • Assist with the set-up of new productions

  • Work with team on various special projects

  • General office support (e.g., answer phones, print/copy, basic tech support)

  • Assist in researching emerging talent, tracking and maintaining databases for Post-Production, VFX and Physical Production.

  • Assist in quality assurance approval screenings

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects

  • Experience with researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings

  • High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment

  • Previous experience working in the entertainment industry

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Primary interest in the field of physical production, post production and VFX

  • The ability to take initiative

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong organization skills

  • Understanding of office procedures, punctuality, and ability to prioritize multiple projects

Education:

  • Junior or Senior year preferred

  • Major or previous coursework with a Film & Television Production major (or minor) with either some background in Film, Television, and/or Visual Effects

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.  Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants:  You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

    Additional Information:

    • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

    • Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm PST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week

    • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area

    • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
