About the Role & Team
We are hiring a Compensation Manager for the Studios Compensation Team in Burbank, CA.
As part of the Studio Compensation team, the Compensation Manager provides guidance to assigned internal clients and collaborates with HR Business Partners in the implementation and administration of compensation programs such as salaries, short and long-term incentives, job evaluations, and salary surveys that support the company’s business strategy. The Compensation Manager also collaborates with compensation peers in each of the business segments on the implementation of centralized, harmonized, and seamless compensation support for functional organizations that span across multiple business segments.
What You Will Do
- Serve as compensation point of contact for HRBPs and leaders for designated areas of the business providing proactive support and guidance on compensation needs and processes.
- Evaluate, level, and determine the market value for new and existing jobs. Develop compensation proposals for newly promoted and newly hired employees.
- Conduct compensation benchmark assessments; actively seek market intelligence and industry-specific data to inform appropriate solutions for assigned clients.
- Collaborate with HRBPs and assigned clients in the review of integrated groups. Participate in the migration of positions onto a common salary structure, job family, and other system maintenance.
- Actively participate in the successful implementation and management of compensation activities including the annual compensation planning cycle, pay equity analyses, salary survey submissions, FLSA reviews, etc.
- Conduct ad-hoc data analyses and projects as needed
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Compensation experience in a diverse business environment
- Consulting experience a plus
- Thorough understanding of compensation practices and trends
- Strong analytical, project management and presentation skills
- Advanced Excel knowledge; SAP, Success Factors, Cognos and Microsoft Access experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Strong aptitude for research, analysis and data management
- Exceptional quantitative skills with a commitment to accuracy and details
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple assignments
- Ability to work in a flexible, often ambiguous environment
- Demonstrated experience in supporting the day-to-day compensation needs of a large, varied client group
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s degree - Human Resources, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, or Business degree preferred; or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $137,100.00 to $167,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
